A Day Without Nagging 잔소리 없는 날

third-frader 3학년생
When my daughter was a third-grader

beg and plead 간절히 부탁하다, 조르다
She begged and pleaded for just one day each year

be free from ~로부터 자유롭다
when she could also be free from any nagging. 

look forward to ~을 기대하다
She looked forward to it so much that I said yes.

post something up ~을 게시하다, 붙여 놓다
She wrote down the date of the no-nagging day, posted it up in her room

count the days 손꼽아 기다리다
and counted the days until then.

soak it up 마음껏 만끽하다
And when the day finally came, she really soaked it up.

yearly ritual 연례행사
It became a yearly ritual for us until she graduated from grade school.

It's an angsty time for any kid. 

get on someone's case  ~에게 계속해서 잔소리를 하다
I often get on her case as a parent, but I will try to tone it down as much as I can.
