As the father of young kids in the COVID era,

options to choose from 선택지
there weren't many options to choose from for family outings.

on edge 불안한
 I was on edge wherever we went because younger children under 2 years old couldn't even wear masks. 

give it some thought 고민해 보다
So, after giving it some thought, my wife and I chose an outdoor theme park.

the kids were just an excuse.

Our family went all out and got annual passes.

I enjoyed spending time with my kids, and they felt the same way.

go on the rides 놀이 기구를 타다
We went on the rides a lot at first, 

get one's money's worth 본전을 뽑다
we didn't have to worry about getting our money's worth.

take in the changing seasons 계절의 변화를 만끽하다
That helped us to relax, and to take in the changing seasons.
